Let Sleeping Dogs...

Image
As a dog lover, seeing a furry friend brings me instant joy! This pooch felt right at home under our table at an indoor/outdoor restaurant in Costa Rica. Dogs are much loved by our neighbours in southern countries and are often welcomed at any doorstep.

Making Tracks - First Snow Birds

Image
Mild temperatures and just a sifting of snow is the best kind of first snowfall of the season. I was amused to notice how my boot prints accidentally met with bird tracks. There were no birds in sight, but they had wandered every which way, and created playful lines and textures.

Sand in Your Toes

Image
There is nothing like feeling the soft sand in your toes. This brings back sweet memories of travels with friends to La Manzanilla, Mexico. On this particular day, we explored nearby beaches and found a lovely seaside restaurant called Chantli Mare on Playa Boca de Iguanas.   We were in flow with sunshine and breezes of life, and got silly by composing a poem together called Chantli Mare… Chantli Mare… Chantli Mare… (Which, sadly, I can’t find at the moment.)

Keeping my Distance

Image
In the current Covid pandemic, physical distancing has become the ‘norm’. Here I am standing on a distancing dot that was painted on the sidewalk outside the Canadian Tire store. I wait my turn to enter while keeping my distance from others that are inline. Hopefully this will become a "distant" memory soon.

Wherever You Go, There You Are!

Image
In my wanderings, near and far, I often forget to look down and notice what lies below my feet. When I do, I marvel at what I see and stop to think about where I am at this moment in time.   This photo blog is dedicated to being present, wherever your feet may take you on this journey. A spring walk in the woods. The shadows cast caught my eye.
