Between the Lines

Rich repainting lines in our condo parking lot. Saskatoon 2022 The message is simple. Park between the lines or you will cause problems for other people.   These are physical borders and boundaries. We have neighbors and there is only one planet earth to share, but most people require their own bit of personal space to feel sane. There are also psychological boundaries. We must set them so we don't get hurt; t hey are an essential form of self care.  But, a  major roadblock to setting  personal   boundaries is a fear of offending someone. Boundaries are about stating what you need, and they have nothing to do with the other person. You’re not responsible for how they feel about your boundaries.   When boundaries, like faded parking lines aren't clear, problems can ensue and resentments can build.  Unfortunately , they are not as easy as painting a line. Gravity

Nudged by spring breezes, blossoms land. They yield to the pull. Gravity. Anchored to the present moment. Right here, right now, whatever we happen to be doing, notice the weight of gravity.  The gentle force that holds us, and everything with mass that isn't rooted, to the earth below.  It holds our feet to the ground -- a tether that connects us to the solid foundation below.  Gravity.
