Between the Lines

We have neighbors and there is only one planet earth to share, but most people require their own bit of personal space to feel sane. There are also psychological boundaries. We must set them so we don't get hurt; t hey are an essential form of self care. But, a major roadblock to setting personal boundaries is a fear of offending someone. Boundaries are about stating what you need, and they have nothing to do with the other person. You’re not responsible for how they feel about your boundaries. When boundaries, like faded parking lines aren't clear, problems can ensue and resentments can build. Unfortunately , they are not as easy as painting a line.
