Earth Beneath our Feet
Spring rains have brought green grass again! Walking or standing shoeless on the fresh grass or in soft sand feels incredible on the toes. A few years ago, I heard about the concept of "earthing or grounding". It is said to connect us with the earth's natural healing energy, improving sleep, general well-being, and so on. It is simple to try, and see how it makes you feel!
"Just like the sun gives us energy and creates vitamin D in our bodies, the earth beneath our feet is rich with electrons that help to ground us when we make contact. Go barefoot and absorb this beneficial electrical charge like a sponge. Try walking barefoot on a soft lawn for just 15 minutes or just sit out on the lawn with bare feet." ~ Nick Polozzi
In this photo, taken last summer, I was dancing on the grass. I've always loved to dance and a group used to meet at a local church that was transformed into a dance studio. We called it "dance church". During Covid, dance church moved outdoors and anyone is welcome. Saskatoon, Buena Vista Park, June 2020
