Say It With Heart

Rich spotted this heart-shaped ceramic tile weathered by the sand and sea. Bucerias, MX 2022.

Heart symbols are ubiquitous. Text messages and social media have added to the barrage of hearts. Add the commercialism of Valentine's Day, and hearts might seem silly or hokey. I don't mind. I use the heart emoticon, myself, to quickly and visually express without words:

I love this.
I support you.
I'm thinking about you.
I'm happy for you.
I see or hear you.
You are special to me.
I feel your pain or heart ache.
I love spending time with you.
I can't wait to see you.
I miss you.
I love you.

But, we must remember to slow down in our messaging, and use our words, too. 💗

  1. I'm certainly guilty of using emoticons of all kinds. Yes a quick way to express oneself without all the words :) I often find that as I write I smile and simply quickly add in the smiley face :) just because :) Yes, it is so important to express the words and not only the symbols, I believe the symbols reinforce the words as well. I love finding those little gems in the sand. Loving your blogs and the accompanying photos. :)
