Feeling Lucky?

Do you know any lucky people with "horseshoes up their .....?"  A good measure of luck is totally random, like winning a lottery.  But, have you wondered if lucky folks somehow generate their own good fortune?

"Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity."
~ attributed to Seneca

Studies have shown that luck is often about being prepared and receptive to opportunities, but also a mindset. I recall an experiment where a $20 bill was planted on a street and many walked by without noticing. The lucky spotted it. Lucky people notice chance opportunities, but also create them. Perhaps they prepare by researching and saving money for a travel adventure, or by taking a class. They might volunteer or share their talents somewhere and that leads to other chance opportunities or friendships. They aren't afraid to ask about an idea or situation -- knowing rejection doesn't mean the end. Seems the key is taking some form of action, while keeping a positive, open, generous attitude.
