Do What You Can

As we soon pay homage to those who gave their lives and service years ago ... we sadly find our planet still ravaged by wars. We wonder if world peace ever has a chance?

Amidst many ugly things in the news, I try to notice the incredibly beautiful things in our world. We are fundamentally good. We are fundamentally the same. Desmond Tutu reminds us, "Each of us longs for peace, comfort and freedom from pain, and these things draw us together. Our greatest joy is when we seek to do good to the other. We are wired to be compassionate."

Do what you can, where you are.

P.S. You might enjoy watching Mission Joy: Finding Happiness in Troubled Times on Netflix.
A film that shares the humor and wisdom of two friends, the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
